APAR Error Description / Circumvention

After writing to DVD-RAM media on a USB DVD drive, and then
waiting more than approximately 30 seconds but less than
approximately 3 minutes before using the media again, the media
may go read-only (MSGOPT1305) and be declared corrupt
(MSGOPT1360) until reinitialized.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'MA49292' :
-------------------------------
Apply this fix to change how the read is done if it occurs in
the time window described, to prevent the problem from
happening.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'MA49292' :
----------------------------------
Eject the media, and re-insert.  Or do not perform other
operations for 5 minutes after writing the media.

Special Instructions

The attached optical devices must be varied off and back on for this
fix to become active.
