APAR Error Description / Circumvention

An IBM i client drive in a tape library does not configure for
tape library virtualization.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA49091 :

An addressing exception prevented the drive from configuring.
Apply this fix to correct the problem.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF MF68496 :

If a SRC94299903 PAL is logged, with a secondary code of 000000C5, it
is because during device identification the device driver found the HRI
had a library identifier that was invalid, and changed it to valid.
Depending on the HRI for all tape libraries, a different resource name
may assigned to the resource being identified.
