APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
SMPGMOVSP00** tasks are consuming too much CPU, which can result
in communications timeouts on the system when QPFRADJ runs.
Additionally high page faulting in the machine pool was seen on
some systems.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'MA47903' :
-------------------------------
The code is changed to run on no more than 2/3 of the processors
at once, and to run for a shorter period of time, doing less
work on smaller machines.  This will allow other tasks to get
more CPU time, and prevent the communications timeouts. A more
precise formula is implemented which will keep nodal affinity
better than the older algorithm. This should reduce page
faulting on systems with poor affinity.
