SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF MF65029 :

Use the following steps to set the preferred path using the iotapepaths
Advanced analysis macro:
1. From the Use Dedicated Service Tools or System Service
Tools display, select Start a Service Tool.
2. From the Start a Service Tool display, select
Display/Alter/Dump.
3. From the Display/Alter/Dump Output Device display, select
Display/Alter storage.
4. From the Select Data display, select Licensed Internal
Code (LIC) data.
5. From the Select LIC data display, page down and select
Advanced analysis
6. From the Select Advanced Analysis Command, type a 1 in
the option field next to the blank line and enter
iotapepaths as the command.
7. From the Specify Advanced Analysis Options display enter
the tape device resource name associated with the
preferred path you want to set, followed by the parameter
-PREFER to change the preferred path.

Type options, press Enter.

iotapepaths advanced analysis macro:
The first input parameter is a hardware resource name, one of
1. Blank        Report all tape resources
2. IOP name     Report tape resources configured on this IOP
3. TapeLibrary  Report tape resources associated with this
logical tape library
4. TapeDevice   Report all the paths to the resource
Additional keywords may be specified:
-NOHEAD         Omit the title line from the output
-VIEW sort      Specify how the output is sorted, where sort is:
LIBRARY   Report drives under controlling library
DEVICE    Report all paths to a drive when the first one
is encountered in the report output.

Output format:
