Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels. This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs. By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.
This PTF is subject to the terms of the 'IBM License Agreement for Machine
Code', the terms of which were provided in a printed document that was
delivered with the machine.

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

When using dependent image catalogs an operation may fail with
MSGCPF5384.
CORRECTION FOR APAR MA47019 :
-----------------------------
An entry was getting created in a lock tracker when an error
occurred causing the tracker to fill up and cause a device not
operational error.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR MA47019 :

None.
Activation Instructions
None.
Special Instructions
After the PTF is applied:
1) Unload any tape image catalogs that are in Ready status.
2) Vary all of the virtual tape device descriptions off and then
vary them back on with RESET(*YES) to activate the fix.
