APAR Error Description / Circumvention

LIC LOG 0600-18BD shows long recovery time of data space
tentative insert force count.  The 0600-0001 VLOG shows the IPL
step breakdown as well.

The recovered file had an alter table performed before the flash
copy, and that source system had  not IPL'd since the alter and
before the flash.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA46857 :
-----------------------------
The data space header field which can impact data space recovery
(IPL and vary-on) processing time was not properly processed
during the alter table, when internal fastpath/performance
functions are utilized for moving the data.  Thus, the longer
than normal vary-on.  Note, this becomes quite a bit longer when
the file has variable length or LOB columns as there are
generally secondary I/O operations needed for most rows of the
data space.
