Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels. This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs. By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.
This PTF is subject to the terms of the 'IBM License Agreement for Machine
Code', the terms of which were provided in a printed document that was
delivered with the machine.

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

Disk paths may fail after using Live Partition Mobility for a
system with DS8000 Hyperswap disk units. The state of the system
following Live Partition mobility varies. The system may be
functional with some disk units having failed paths. If all
paths to any disk unit fail, the system will hang with an
SRCA6000266 or SRCA6000255 and an IPL is required to recover.
CORRECTION FOR APAR MA45868 :

A PTF will be created to fix the problem. Systems that have
DS8000 HyperSwap disk units and use Live Partition Mobility
should apply the PTF.
