Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels. This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs. By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.

Code', the terms of which were provided in a printed document that was
delivered with the machine.

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

When performing a flashcopy using PowerHA commands, in some
cases the flash target disks are not enlisting and ultimately is
only first noticed during a failed iasp vary on attempt.
Work Around: After a successful flash, if disks did not enlist
the flash node can be IPL'd and then the disks units should show
up and the iASP can be varied on.
CORRECTION FOR APAR MA45824 :
-----------------------------
If the flashCopy target partition is IPLed while the flashCopy
is not active, the LUNs may be marked as read/write protected,
thus causing the iASP vary on to fail.
A change will be made to recheck the LUNs for valid data when
the iASP vary on occurs and remove the read/write protected
state, allowing the iASP to vary on.
A work around is to insure the flashCopy is active when the
target partition is IPLed.
