APAR Error Description / Circumvention

They are creating disk unit luns from a V7000 via NPIV and end
up with duplicates. Both were on TR3 and both were set up with 8
paths per lun, 4 active and 4 passive. One customer created 105
disk unit luns but saw 116 disk units created. The other created
20 and saw 22. It was this last customer did not catch the
problem and added the disk units to the system asp.
CORRECTION FOR APAR MA45299 :

The licensed internal code examines the disks to prevent
duplicates.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR MA45299 :

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR MA45328 :
-----------------------------------------------
Systems using Primary and Secondary ASPs with HyperSwap can get
different HyperSwap statuses between the Primary and Secondary
ASPs. The entire ASP Group should keep the same HyperSwap
configuration and state.
CORRECTION FOR APAR MA45328 :
-----------------------------
The system licensed internal code has been changed to utilize a
single HyperSwap manager for the entire ASP group.
