APAR Error Description / Circumvention

The system may hang when DS8000 DASD are attached to the IBM i
host. The hang condition may occur when DS8000 LUNs are in a
metro-mirror relationship and the host has trouble communicating
with the primary and secondary devices.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA43393 :

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR MA43401 :
-----------------------------------------------
A disk unit added while the system is a full paging may be
reported as missing on the next system IPL. This problem is
isolated to DS8000 disk units that are in a metro mirror
relationship.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA43401 :

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR MA43421 :

Errors are logged against DS8000 disks when resuming
metro-mirror replication. The reference code logged is 21073100.
