Abstract

This document provides information about update packages delivered through the continuous delivery support program.

Starting with version 8.10.0, Operational Decision Manager is delivered under the terms of the Continuous Delivery (CD) IBM Software Support Lifecycle Policy unless otherwise stated. The support policy covers the entire lifecycle of the product, from time of commercial release to time of end of support.

Support duration

In the standard IBM CD support model, IBM provides product technical support for at least two years. This support starts with the availability of a new product version or release. IBM also offers an optional, fee-based support extension for at least one additional year. 

Operational Decision Manager 8.10.x varies from the standard IBM CD support model by providing product technical support for at least three years, and an optional, fee-based support extension for two years.

Fix schedule

Defect fixes and security updates are made available for the two most recent update packages, as well as for active Long Term Support Release (LTSR) update packages. This does not preclude a client's ability to engage support for assistance, but it does limit the availability of any fixes. An LTSR update package receives product defect fixes and security updates for at least two years starting from the general availability date of the update package.

For example, the ODM 8.10.3 CD update package stopped receiving defect and security updates (End of Fix Service) when version 8.10.5 was released. Version 8.10.2 continues to receive defect fixes and security updates because it is an LTSR update package. Therefore, clients must have 8.10.2, 8.10.4 or 8.10.5 to receive fixes

The following table shows the fix service periods for Operational Decision Manager 8.10.x releases. Exceptions to these dates are determined on a case-by-case basis.
