Problem
To support Serial over LAN (SOL) on Cisco switch in bay-1, the firmware for the integrated 2-port Gbit ethernet controller must be at level 2.30 and if running AIX, then AIX5.2 must have APAR IY62138 installed.

To engage SOL via the Cisco switch, the firmware for the integrated 2-port Gbit ethernet controller must be a level 2.30. The code can be found at:

Also, if AIX5.2 operating system is running, then APAR IY62138 must be installed.
