Installing the PCI riser card
To install the PCI riser card assembly:
- Install the adapters in the PCI riser card assembly.
- Carefully align the PCI riser card assembly with the guides on the rear of the server, and with the PCI riser-card connector on the system board. Then, place your thumbs on locations marked by the blue dots and press down on the PCI riser card assembly. Make sure that the riser card assembly is fully seated in the connector on the system board.
- Install the top cover:
- Position the cover on top of the server so that approximately one half inch extends from the rear.
- Slide the cover toward the front of the server.
- Make sure that the cover correctly engages all of the inset tabs on the server.
- Reconnect the external cables and power cords.
