Installing the DVD cable
To install the DVD cable:
- Route the cables through the server and reconnect the cable to the system board.
- Align the cable connector with the connector on the rear of the optical drive cage.
- Pull the cable connector latch up and hold it there while you slide the cable connector to the locked position to lock the cable in place.
- Install the DVD drive:
- Slide the DVD drive into the bay until the DVD drive clicks into place.
- Install the top cover:
- Position the cover on top of the server so that approximately one half inch extends from the rear.
- Slide the cover toward the front of the server.
- Make sure that the cover correctly engages all of the inset tabs on the server.
- Reconnect the external cables and power cords.
