Voltage regulator module removal

To remove the VRM, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the service access cover.
  2. Disconnect the power source from the system by unplugging the system.
  3. To remove a voltage regulator module from the system processor assembly, follow these steps:
    1. Push the connector tabs out and then down.
    2. Pull the voltage regulator module out of the connector.
  4. Place the voltage regulator module on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) surface.
