Front fan cage removal
To remove the front fan cage, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the power source from the system by unplugging the system.
- Remove the front cover.
- Remove the service access cover.
- Remove the fan cable that is located on the left side of the system from the system board.
- Loosen the two retaining thumbscrews at the top of the fan cage and tilt the fan cage forward.
- Press inward on the retaining latches that are located at the bottom of the fan cage.
- Remove the fan cage and carefully pull the fan cable through the chassis opening.
