Front fan cage installation
To install the front fan cage, follow these steps:
- Thread the fan cable through the chassis opening and connect the cable to the system board.
- Holding the fan cage in the open position align the fan cage with the retaining pins until it locks into place.

Install the fans, as follows:
- Lower the fan into its location in the fan cage. Orient the fan so that the arrow on top of the fan points toward the middle of the system.
- Push down on the fan until it locks into place.
- Tilt the fan cage upward and tighten the retaining thumbscrews.
- Replace the service access cover.
- Replace the front cover.
- Reconnect the power source.
