To remove the RAID Card Carrier and RAID Card Assembly:

  1. Remove the Top Cover:

    1. Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.

    2. Press the button and lift the cover-release latch. The cover will move to the rear approximately one half inch.

    3. Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.

  2. Remove the Top Cover Bracket:

    1. Slide the blue latches on the top cover bracket toward the center of the server and then tilt and lift the bracket out of the server.

  3. Remove the RAID Card Carrier and RAID Card Assembly:

    1. Pull up on the blue handle to remove the RAID card carrier and RAID card assembly from the server.

    2. Disconnect the SAS cable from the RAID card.

    3. Press the release latch and rotate the RAID card off the carrier.
