To Remove an Adapter:

  1. Remove the Top Cover:

    1. Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.

    2. Press the button and lift the cover-release latch. The cover will move to the rear approximately one half inch.Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.

  2. Remove the Adapter:

    1. Rotate the blue retention latch up, insuring that the black retaining plate rests on top of the latch. This will provide the clearance necessary to remove the adapter.

    2. Carefully grasp the adapter by its top edge or upper corners, and pull the adapter from the server. Note that an Emulex 10 GbE Custom Adapter is shown.
