To remove a CD-RW/DVD Drive Cable:

1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
2. Remove the Top Cover
   1. Push in on the button to release the top cover latch and then rotate it up. The cover will move approximately one-half inch to the rear.
   2. Lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Remove the Hot-swap Fan:
   Note that the air baffles have been removed to provide a better view.
   1. Grasp the fan by the finger grips on the sides of the fan and lift it up and out of the server.
   2. Use the same procedure to remove any additional fans if required.
4. Remove the Fan Bracket:
   1. Press the fan-bracket release latches toward each other and lift the fan bracket out of the server.
      Here is a closer look at a release latch.
5. Remove a CD-RW/DVD Drive Cable:
   Note that the DIMM baffle has been removed to provide a better view.
   1. Press down on the release tab and push the drive toward the front of the server to disengage the connector.
   2. Pull to release the locking tab on the connector, and then press the spring tab to release the connector and slide it to the right and remove it.
   3. Disconnect the cable from the system board and remove the cable.
