To remove a CD-RW/DVD Drive:

  1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
  2. Remove the Top Cover:
    1. Push in on the button to release the top cover latch and then rotate it up. The cover will move approximately one-half inch to the rear.
    2. Lift the cover off and set it aside.
  3. Remove the CD-RW/DVD Drive
    Note: a fan has been removed to provide a better view.
    1. Press down on the release tab and push the drive toward the front of the server then
    2. Pull the drive from the bay.
    3. Lift the retention clip from the drive and set it aside.
