To remove a DIMM:

1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
2. Remove the Top Cover:
   1. Push in on the button to release the top cover latch and then rotate it up. The cover will move approximately one-half inch to the rear.
   2. Lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Remove the DIMM Air Baffle:
   1. Grasp the baffle by the edges and lift it out of the server.
      Note: If a full length adapter card in installed in Riser Card 1 it will be necessary to remove the riser card before removing the baffle.
4. Remove the DIMM:
   1. Push out on the two latches and lift the DIMM out of the socket and place it on the ESD protected surface.
   2. Use the same procedure to remove any additional DIMMs if required.
