To remove the Microprocessor 2 Air Baffle:

  1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
  2. Remove the Top Cover:
    1. Push in on the button to release the top cover latch and then rotate it up. The cover will move approximately one-half inch to the rear.
    2. Lift the cover off and set it aside.
  3. Remove the PCI Riser Card Assembly 2:
    1. Grasp the riser-card assembly at the front tab and rear edge, then lift it from the server and place it on a flat static-protective surface.
  4. Remove the Microprocessor 2 Air Baffle:
    1. Grasp the top of the air baffle and lift it out of the server.

Note: For proper cooling and airflow replace all air baffles before you turn on the server. Operating the server with any air baffle removed might damage server components.
