Text from the audio portion of the Battery removal movie

To remove the Battery:

  1. Remove the Side Cover:
    1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
    2. Unlock the side cover if required
    3. Press the cover-release latch down while rotating the top edge of the cover away from the server and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
  2. Place the system on its right side. This is the recommended Service Position.
  3. Remove the Battery:
  4. Push the battery out of its housing and lift it out of the server.
