To remove a Hot-Swap Fan:

  1. Remove the Side Cover:
    1. Unlock the side cover if required
    2. Press the cover-release latch down while rotating the top edge of the cover away from the server and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
  2. Remove the Hot-swap Fan:
    1. Open the locking handle by sliding the orange release latch in the direction of the arrow, and then pull the fan from the server.
    2. Use the same procedure to remove any additional fans if required.
      Note: To ensure proper system cooling, do not leave the top cover off the server for more than 2 minutes.
