To remove a Hot-swap Hard Disk Drive:

1. Open the Bezel:
   1. Unlock the side cover if required.
   2. Position your finger on the depressed area on the left side of the bezel and rotate the bezel away from the server.
2. Remove the Hot-swap Hard Disk Drive:
   1. Press the release latch to unlock the drive handle and rotate it to the open position.
   2. Pull the drive assembly out of the bay approximately one inch, wait 45 seconds for the drive to spin down, and then remove the drive from the bay.
   3. To remove a filler panel, squeeze the retention tabs together and pull the filler panel from the bay.
   4. Use the same procedure to remove any additional drives or filler panels if required.
      Note: To maintain proper cooling do not operate the server for more than 10 minutes without a drive or a filler panel installed in each bay.
