To remove the USB Cable and Light Path Diagnostic Assembly:

1. Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.

Remove the Bezel:

1. Position your finger on the depressed area on the left side of the bezel and rotate the bezel away from the server.Press down on the light path diagnostic panel release latch and pull the panel partially out of the server so that it is clear of the top hinge
2. Press the retention tabs on the upper hinge assembly toward each other and pull the hinge assembly partially out of the chassis. Repeat the procedure for the lower and center hinges and remove the bezel.
   
   Note: The bezel will also disengage from the hinges if you rotate the bezel beyond 180° or if excessive pressure is applied to the bezel. The bezel is designed with breakaway hinges so that you can reattach it to the server.

Remove the Side Cover:

1. Unlock the side cover if requiredpress the cover-release latch down while rotating the top edge of the cover away from the server and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.

Remove the Hot-swap Power Supply:

1. Disconnect the power cord from the power supply.
2. While pressing the release latch to the left, pull the power supply out of the bay. Use the same procedure to remove the second power supply if required.
3. Place the system on its right side. This is the recommended Service Position.

Remove the Air Baffle:

1. Lift the power-supply cage handle and then rotate the power-supply cage assembly up until latched in the service position.
2. Press the air baffle release latch and then lift the air baffle from the server.

Remove the Fan Cage Assembly:

1. Press the fan cage release latches toward the sides of the server. The fan cage will lift up slightly when the release latches are fully open.
2. Grasp the assembly and lift it out of the server.

Remove the USB Cable and Light Path Diagnostic Assembly:

1. Disconnect the USB cable from the system board by lifting straight up and free it from the cable retainer. Disconnect the light path diagnostic cable from the system board by squeezing the sides of the connector to release the latches, then pull it straight up and free the cable from the three retainers.
   
   Note: Observe the cable routing as you remove the cables. Incorrect cable routing can result in damage to the cables.
   
   
2. Press down on the release latch and rotate the top of the mounting bracket away from the server and slide the hinge tab out of the slot in the chassis.
3. Remove the mounting bracket while carefully feeding the cables through the cutout in the chassis.
4. Squeeze the retaining clips on each side of the USB cable connector and remove the USB cable from the mounting bracket.
