To install the SAS riser-card and controller assembly:

1. Position the assembly over the system and connect the power cable to the controller.
2. Insert the signal cable into the connector, and then slide the blue collar forward to secure it.
3. Turn the assembly over and place it in the chassis using the slotted pins on the assembly and channels in the chassis for alignment.
4. Carefully press down on the assembly until seated and secured by the latch.
5. Connect the two SAS data cables to the adapter card.

Note: use caution not to pinch the signal cable while installing the assembly.

Install the top cover:

1. With the cover release latch in the open position place the cover over the chassis so that the tabs in the cover align with the slots in the chassis.
2. Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch down to the closed position.
