Text from the audio portion of the tape drive removal movie
To remove a tape drive:
- Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the top cover:
- Push in on the button to release the top cover latch and then rotate it up. The cover will move approximately one-half inch to the rear.
- Lift the cover off and set it aside.
Remove the tape drive:
- Press to release the latch and rotate the handle to the open position.
- Pull the drive approximately one inch from the bay.
- Disconnect the power and signal cables from the rear of the drive.
- Pull the drive from the bay.
- Rotate the handle to the closed position
