Text from the audio portion of the SAS/SATA HDD backplane installation movie
To install the SAS/SATA HDD backplane:
- Connect the power, configuration, and two signal cables to the backplane.
- Lower the backplane into the chassis using the tabs on the backplane and the slots on the bracket for alignment. .
- Press down on the backplane and rotate it towards the front of the server until secured by the tabs.
- With the tab on the dimm air baffle open place the fan into the fan assembly bracket using the connector for alignment, then press down on the fan until it is seated. Use the same procedure to install the remaining fans that were removed.
- Install any hard disk drives that were removed.

Install the top cover:
- Position the cover on top of the server using alignment pins on the cover and slots in the chassis for alignment.
- Slide the cover toward the front of the server until it latches in place.
