Text from the audio portion of the SAS riser-card and controller assembly removal movie
To remove the SAS riser-card and controller assembly:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the top cover:
- Press down firmly on the blue tab on top of the cover and slide it to the rear until it disengages from the chassis.
- Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Remove the SAS riser-card and controller assembly:
- Disconnect the two SAS data cables from the serveraid adapter card.
- Press the release tab toward the rear of the server and lift the back end of the SAS controller to disconnect it from the system board, then pull the controller out of the retention bracket and lift it out of the server and place it on an eds protected surface.
Note we are showing the optional serveraid mr10I in this case. - Disconnect the riser card from the controller and set it on a static protected surface.
- To remove the battery and daughter card from the controller remove the three screws and lift the battery and daughter card from the mounting posts to access the cable connector.
- Disconnect the cable to separate the battery from the daughter card and set both aside.
