Text from the audio portion of the DIMM removal movie
To remove a DIMM:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the top cover:
- Press down firmly on the blue tab on top of the cover and slide it to the rear until it disengages from the chassis.
- Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Remove the DIMM air baffle:
- Grasp the DIMM air baffle and lift the baffle up and remove it from the server.
Remove the DIMM:
- Push out on the two latches and lift the DIMM out of the socket and place it on a static protective surface.
Use the same procedure to remove any additional DIMMs if required.
