Abstract
Fan assembly removal movie for IBM System x3650 T (Type 7980)
Content
To remove the Fan Assembly:
- Turn off the server and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the Cover:
- Press in the cover release button and slide the cover to the rear approximately one-half an inch.
- Lift the cover off and place it to the side.
Remove the Fan Assembly:
- Loosen the two captive screws and remove the fan guard.
- Disconnect the four fan power cables from the front panel board.
- Loosen the single captive screw on the Fan Array Assembly and remove the Assembly.
