Abstract
Hot-Swap fan removal movie for the IBM System x3650.
Content
To remove a Hot-Swap fan:
Remove the cover:
- Press in the cover release latch and rotate up while sliding the cover the rear approximately one-half inch.
- Lift the cover off and place to the side.
Remove a Hot-Swap Fan:
- Place your fingers into the two handles on the top of the fan.
- Squeeze the handles and lift the fan out of the server.
- Use the same procedure to remove any other fans if required.
Note: For proper cooling the server requires five fans for each installed power supply.
