To remove the USB cable assembly
Remove the Top Cover:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
- Slide the cover release latches and rotate the Fan Door open.
- Loosen the captive screw on the rear of the chassis.
- Slide the cover towards the rear of the server approximately one half inch and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
- Pull the drives out of the server.
- Raise the backplane out of the slots in the drive cage.
- Remove the three screws securing the cage assembly.
- Slide the drive cage assembly out two inches to clear the media bezel.
Remove the Media Bezel and Video Port Cable Assembly:
- Disconnect the cable for fan 3 , then grasp the pull tab on fan number 3 and lift it out of the bracket and place it aside to gain access to the cable.
- Disconnect the Video cable from the system board.
- Remove the two screws from the top of the Bezel.
- Rotate the top of the bezel away from the system and press down to free the hinge tabs on the bottom.
- Pull the Bezel away from the system while carefully feeding the cable through the media bay.
Remove the USB Cable Assembly:
- Disconnect the USB connector from the system board and route it out of the chassis.
- Squeeze to release the spring retainer and pull the cable from the cutout in the chassis.
