To install the Disk drive cage assembly

1. Slide the drive cage assembly into the front of the server.
2. Secure with the three screws.

Install the 3.5 Inch Drive Back Plane:

1. Feed the signal cables through the center hole in the chassis.
2. Slide the backplane into the channels in the cage assembly and press down until seated over the tab in the center.
3. Feed the SAS power cable through the hole in the chassis and connect to the power distribution board …
4. Connect the signal cables to the system board.
5. Gently push the drive tray into the bay until the drive connects to the backplane.
6. Use the same procedure to install all of the drives.

Install the Top Cover:

1. Position the cover over the chassis aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
2. Slide the cover forward and secure with the single captive screw.
3. Rotate the fan door to the closed and latched position.
