Content
To remove the Battery:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the Top Cover:
- Slide the cover release latches and rotate the Fan Door open.
- Loosen the captive screw on the rear of the chassis.
- Slide the cover towards the rear of the server approximately one half inch and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Remove Riser Card Assembly 1:
- Lift the Riser Card Assembly straight up and out of the socket and place it on an ESD protected surface.
Remove the Battery:
- Rotate the battery to free it from the retainer and lift it out.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
