Text from the audio portion of the power supply removal movie
To remove the power supply
Remove the top cover:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
- Loosen the captive screw on the rear of the chassis.
- Slide the cover towards the rear of the server approximately one half inch and then lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Remove the power supply:
- Remove the air baffle for processor two to provide better access to the cable connectors.
- Disconnect power cables from the optical drive backplane and the hard disk drive and remove them from the cable retainer.
- Disconnect cables P3, P1, P2, and P7 from the system board.
- Remove the three screws from the rear of the chassis.
- Slide the power supply forward to free the retainer pin from the keyhole slot and then lift the power supply out of the server.
