Text from the audio portion of the DIMM installation movie

To install a DIMM:

  1. Ensure that the retention latches are open.
  2. Insert the DIMM straight into the slot, pressing down on both corners of the DIMM at the same time until secured by the latches.
  3. Place the microprocessor/memory card air baffle on the card and press into place.

Install the microprocessor/memory card:

  1. Align the microprocessor/memory card with the guides and then press the card into the connectors and close the retention levers.
  2. Make sure that the retention tabs lock the card in place.

Install the top cover:

  1. Position the cover over the chassis, aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
  2. Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch down to the closed position.
