Text from the audio portion of the USB cable removal movie
To remove the USB cable:
Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the top cover:

Rotate the top cover release latch up and slide the cover approximately one-half inch to the rear.

Lift the cover off and place it aside.
Remove the USB cable:

Remove the hot-swap fan that is adjacent to the USB connector for easier access to the connector.

Open the fan-locking handle by sliding the release latch in the direction of the arrow.
- Rotate the handle far enough to pivot the fan up, disengaging the connector. Then pull the handle to lift the fan out of the server.

Disconnect the USB cable from the system board.

Using a flat blade probe squeeze the spring retainers to release the cable from the chassis, and remove the cable.
