To install a DIMM
- Ensure that the retention latches are open.
- Insert the DIMM straight into the slot, pressing down on both corners at the same time until secured by the latches.
Install the riser card assembly:
- Carefully align the riser-card assembly with the retention latches, the guides on the rear of the server, and the riser-card connector on the system board, and then press down on the assembly until seated.
Install the top cover:
- Position the cover over the chassis, aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
- Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch down to the closed position.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
