To install a hot-swap hard drive
- Ensure that the drive tray handle is in the open position.
- Align the drive tray assembly so that it engages the guide rails in the bay.
- Gently push the assembly into the bay until the drive connects to the backplane.
- Rotate the drive tray handle to the closed position.
- To install a filler plate, position the plate into the bay and press in until seated.
- Use the same procedure to install any additional drives or filler plates.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
