Text from the audio portion of the intrusion switch removal movie
To remove a intrusion switch
Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the side cover:
- Unlock the side cover if required.
- Press down on the cover release latch and rotate the top of the cover away from the chassis.
- Lift the cover off the server and set it aside.
Place the server on its side, this is the recommended service position.
Remove the intrusion switch:
- Disconnect the cable from the system board.
- Using a flat blade screwdriver release the rear latch and pry the rear side of the switch up.
- Repeat for the front side and lift the switch and cable through the cutout in the chassis.
