To remove a hot-swap hard drive
Remove the lower bezel:
Note: The side cover, if installed, must be unlocked.
- Press the release button on the right side of the lower bezel and rotate the top away from the server and lift it off.
Remove the hot-swap hard drive:
- Press the release latch and rotate the drive tray handle to the open position.
- Wait approximately 30 seconds for the drive to spin down. Then pull the drive from the bay.
To remove a filler plate:
- Insert your finger into the finger hole and pull the filler plate from the bay.
Use the same procedure to remove any additional drives or filler plates.
For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
