To install the hard disk drive
-
Slide the drive into the drive cage using the screw holes for alignment and secure with the four screws.

Position the drive cage pivots in the slots in the chassis, then rotate the cage down and secure with the single thumbscrew.

Here is a closer look at a cage pivot and slot in the chassis.

Connect the signal and power cables to the drive.
Install the cover:

Place the front edge of the cover into position on the front edge of the server and lower the cover onto the chassis.

Slide the cover toward the front of the server and secure with the two thumbscrews.

Return the server to its normal operating position.
