Text from the audio portion of the control panel removal movie
To remove the Control Panel
Remove the Side Cover:
-
Turn off the server and all peripheral devices, and disconnect all power cords and external cables.

Place the system on its right side. This is the recommended Service Position.

Remove the two thumbscrews on the rear of the server. Slide the cover to the rear approximately one half inch and lift it off the server.
Remove the Bezel:

Press down on the bezel release tab to disengage the bezel from the chassis. Rotate it open to free the hinge tabs and lift it off.
Remove the Control Panel:

Disconnect the SATA Drive power cable from the drive.
Note: If two drives are installed, disconnect the cables from both drives. -
Remove the thumbscrew securing the drive cage. Rotate the drive cage to latch it in the open position.

Disconnect the front panel and USB cables from the system board.

Release the cables from the cable retainer. Note: The front air baffle has been removed for better visibility.

Remove the single screw.
Note: Placing a small spacer under the system will make access to the screw easier. -
Grasp the bottom of the panel and rotate it up and off the server, then carefully pull the cables out through the hole in the chassis.

Disconnect the USB and control panel cables from the card.
