Instructions for removing the power supply from any xSeries 366 and xSeries 460 server.

To remove the power supply:
- Turn off the server and all peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.
Remove the top cover:
- Lift the cover-release latch handle.
- Slide the cover to the rear, approximately one-half inch.
- Lift the cover off the server.
Remove the memory card:
- Open release latch 1. Then, open release latch 2 and pull the card from the server.
- Place the card on a static-protective surface.
Note: If memory mirroring is enabled, you can hot-replace one memory card at a time on each memory power bus.
- The memory hot-swap enabled LED indicates that hot-swap memory is enabled.
- The error LED indicates that a DIMM has failed.
- The memory port power LED turns off to indicate that power has been removed from the port and you can replace a failed DIMM.
Remove the power supply:
- Disconnect the power cord from the connector on the back of the power supply.
- Depress the release latch.
- Rotate the power supply handle up and lift out the power supply.
- Slide the locking handles toward the front of the server to release the assembly.
- Lift the assembly up and out of the server.
