Abstract
Instructions for removing the front fan assembly of an xSeries 226 server.

Text from the audio portion of the front fan assembly removal movie
To remove the front fan assembly:
- Remove the side cover.
- Place the server in the service position.
- Remove the support bracket.
- Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
- Disconnect any cables that run through the opening in the adapter support bracket and fan housing and pull them trough the fan bracket until they are clear.
- Lift the release lever for the adapter support bracket and fan housing.
- Slide the fan housing towards the top of the server until it is free from the tabs on the chassis.
- Use caution not to damage any cables while removing the fan.
