To install an Processor Bracket:
- Position the fan bracket in the chassis.
- Connect the power cable to the power distribution board.
- Align the slots on the bracket with the tabs on the base of the chassis.
- Secure the two screws.
Here is a closer look at the tabs on the chassis.
Install the fan:
- Position the fan over the bracket using the isolation and air flow indicator label as a guide.
- Press the isolation mounts into the notch in the brackets. Ensure that the label is accessible.
- Connect the cable to the power distribution board.
Here is a closer look at the airflow indicator label.
Use the same procedure to install any remaining fans. Close the cover and slide the latches to the locked position. It is very important that you replace the fan within five minutes, otherwise the system will shut down.
