Abstract
Instructions for installing the Power backplane in an IBM eServer xSeries 336.

Text from the audio portion of the Power backplane installation movie
To install the Power Backplane:
- Position the back plane in the chassis aligning the slotted retaining pins in the chassis with the holes in the card.
- Slide it forward to seat the connector.
- Connect the back plane cable and then route the SCSI cable through the cable clamp.
- Heres a closer look at the keyed slot in the card and a retaining post in the chassis with the plastic off.
- Install the power supplies by pressing the power supplies into the bay and rotate the latch handle up until it clicks and secures the power supply in the bay.
Close the main cover:
- Position the cover over the chassis aligning the tabs in the cover with the slots in the chassis.
- Slide the cover forward while rotating the cover release latch to the closed position.
- Close the processor fan door and ensure that the latch is locked.
- Close the I/O fan door and ensure that the latch is locked.
